I was fat!! My health was poor and I was an unhappy couch potato. In 2013 at 56 years of age I made the decision to turn my life around so I could live to see my grandchildren grow up. I underwent gastric bypass in July of that same year. It was one of the hardest yet BEST decisions I have ever made. I lost 110 pounds over the next year. Then I discovered the gym!!! That was when my challenge really began. I realized lifting weights and working out regularly would help me not only FEEL younger, but I started to LOOK younger! I have never been healthier or felt better.
I have found a new family here at Energy Gym that has welcomed me in with open arms. I look forward to motivating anyone going thru a weight loss journey and struggling with their body image. It can change for the better no matter your age. I can now run circles around my grandchildren and they can't keep up with me!

Born in a place and country where I actually had to make my own weights out of concrete, it was always my dream to to be able to work out in an real gym. I found a new home in Delaware, USA and a second family in Tony and Gina Hall here at Energy Gym.
Tony helped me go from a skinny 135 lbs. boy to a fit/healthy 170 lbs. man. I trained with him for 3+ years and he helped me not only fulfill my dream of working out in a gym, but he pushed me to actually become a Personal Trainer myself. Tony has taught me a wealth of knowledge about nutrition/diet, about proper exercise technique, mind to muscle concentration training and the correct strategies to change your body and change your life.

WENDY (FORD) PERRY
HISTORY | EXPERIENCE
Wendy has been involved with fitness and sports for as long as she can remember. As two sport athlete in college, she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education with concentration in fitness and coacing. She taught High School Physical Education for 6 years as well as working as an Athletic Director on the high school level. Wendy has coached on every level from grade school to college. In 2003 she turned her owned business called “Perfect Fitness” in addition to working for numerous gyms and health clubs. During that time she taught Bootcamps for Sergeants program and in 2008 started her own called “Neighborhood Troops”. As well as a personal trainer Wendy is a group fitnessinstructor and beach bootcamp instructor at hipAHA. She specializes in high intensity training and kettlebell workouts.

SHAWN RENE ZIMMERMAN
ShawnRene' Zimmerman www.ShawnReneFit.com has been involved with health and fitness since a very young age. Growing up in a home with her father, an avid fitness champion and enthusiast, she was able to gain valuable knowledge about health and fitness as well as the fitness industry.
For 15 years, Shawn Rene has utilized her certifications and exercise science degree, to train people of all ages and fitness levels. She has currently trained Team USA Gold Medal Olympic Athletes and fitness competitors. ShawnRene is excellent with working with men and women of all fitness levels and ages! From young to mature and every day people who just want to be healthier.
Her positive, infectious and bubbly spirit partnered with extreme motivation and a passion for fitness will give you the push and strength you need to reach your goals.
